Just avoid Avis in Western-Europe. Car rentals might be fine, but.. if you ever need any sort of customer service, you're lost. Waiting time for customer service line in Belgium was 30+ minutes the last 2 times I called, and the phone number costs 0,30 E / minute, waiting time included. The worst thing is, when they're closed and you select customer service in the phone menu, they still put you in line, but after 30 minutes and paying 10 euro, you end up at the reservations department and all they can do is ask you to call back the next day.

AVIS, what a rip off, towing cancellation (yes cancellation) 300? ! asked several times about an explanation but no answer, so please people avoid AVIS !

Ongelooflijk inefficiënt!

They applied a different rate than my contract indicated, without any notice or agreement from my side. When I called asking for explanations and help "sorry, the invoice is already final" is all I got. Bad advertisement for a company (AVIS) I've always been happy with otherwise.
